All of sudden cannot connect to share-> Win 10 20H2 Build 19042.1052

Title pretty much says it. I see the computer, but connect/login fails. It has been working fine for quite a while.

I checked Discovery (which actually I expected that on just to see it), and it was off (even though I could see the laptop). I had to enable Developer Mode to turn it on, but it didn't help.

    Any suggestions?

Hi you might try adding the device you can't access as a networked device again. That helped me after similar problems after upgrading tis PC to 20H2 - all had been well, and still worked from my other (1903) PC.

Ah, I should have provided more info. Sorry.

Your question prompted me to explore a bit: My problem is logging in with a file app on my Android phone. It connects to my desktop PC, and did on this one, as well as my other laptop.

So I checked logging on from my desktop, and it works fine. I can login to my desktop from my phone. It's weird.

    To recap:

All computers (3) can get to the shares of each other The phone can get to the desktop computer
The phone cannot get to either laptop, which is just now a problem. I'm beginning to think some type of Windows update has happened on the laptops but not the desktop.

    UPDATE
I just installed another file app on the phone. It fails also. Says "Failed to connect".
