remote wi-fi works from router but no internet axcess nor icon on main computer.
Natwork diaglog says - problem is cable from modem to main computer but that worked fine this am.
tried changing cable to other ports on modemand removed & replaced cable on computer but no internet.
Any suggestions ?? thanks
Welcome to the forum. Its not clear what your saying remote access from what. You have a modem and a router connected to it?
2 machines - remote now getting internet ok via a wi-fi adaptor - signal comes from modem another room.
Main machine connects to router via cable but cannot access internet and no longer see internet icon on screen.
Worked fine this am.
Troubleshooting says that cable not connected.
We tried another cable, and plugging the cable to another port on the modem.

Fixed - found missing internet icon. Turned off and turned on local network. working.
