    Remote Computer Management

    Hello,

Working on domain Win 10 Pro systems. I am able to use Computer management on the target PC and it shows Task Scheduler, Event Log, Shared, and Users/Groups fine but when I click on Device Manager, I get the fallowing error.

On my PC and the target, I have enabled "Allow inbound remote administration exception" and "Allow inbound remote desktop exceptions in local group policy editor. In services on both I have set remote registry and Plug and play to Auto and are started.

I'm at a loss of what do to. Do I need to put in my PC's IP in the remote reg and plug and play services? I have also only enabled them in Extended does it need to be done in standard as well?

Thanks for the suggestion but we use LogMeIn and we are too deep I think to convince a switch. You can look at some things in "LogMeIn" but it too does not have device manager. It has a cmd but it's not elevated so that's limiting.

My goal is to view services, reg, device manager, performance, task, event, all that good stuff all while not interrupting the users. Getting hung up on device manager and performance atm.

I have helped some people on the Forum with their computer using Teamviewer. I don't remember I had any restrictions. I could even restart and set to connect after booting. It's very good.
Give it a try (free), using to access a computer near by.

Just a thought. Does the remote computer has any restrictions on assessing device manager? Group policy?

    Are you using Microsoft's RSAT?

No, just computer management and choosing connect to another computer. Is RSTA required?

Good idea but when enabled it had no change.

Actually, what I was really thinking of was Windows Admin Center:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...enter/overview

    I would recommend trying it.

You need to assure that remote services are running, and the appropriate firewall access has been allowed for remote access to the tools you wish to use.

Ok , I'll double check that it runs. What ports are we talking here? Is this in Windows like in the pic my SonicWall Firewall?
