I removed sharing from Drive and all folders within that shared drive that is shared to start over again. I restarted the computer and followed the instructions . Now when I share that drive , all folders inside the drive is not shared. Really puzzled.
New Info : Even though the individual folder properties (inside the shared drive) show it's not shared , they can be seen and acted on by computers on the network.

You dont understand the share gives you access to the folder share not the files that is controlled by NTFS permissions so you can set permissions to deny and you cant then access them which is why I asked what the permissions are if a user copies a file it will be owned by that user so everyone has no rights

All the folders in the shared Drive are not shared under Sharing tab in Properties.
Under Security tab , various folders are given varying permissions. depending on the Users.

You are sharing a whole drive is it c or other? By default all drives are shared as admin drive with a$ ie c$ d$ if you then try and reshare it get confusing. On a shared drive a lot of folders you wont have any rights to like system folders, other users folders

If a folder is shared, the path of any subfolder that belongs to the folder tree can be resolved in spite of the fact that access rights may either be denied or be granted by using NTFS permissions in the filesystem on the remote. If the root of a drive is shared, then the same also applies to folders that belong to this root. You do not need to share a folder the path of which can already be resolved via its parent. Not unless maybe you want to share it under a specific name that is shorter so it requires less keystrokes when typing it or is easier to remember than the full UNC path that contains the name of the parent.
