    Net Use doesn't show mapped drives

    Hi guys,

    I have 3 mapped drives which are accessible.

    Net Use doesn't show mapped drives-shared-drives.jpg

    However, when I run net use command I'm getting this output.

    C:\windows\system32>net use
    New connections will be remembered.

    There are no entries in the list.
    Does anybody know why is it so?

    Hello @Pinocchio21

    The only thing I can imagine is that these network drives are not mounted with the same account credentials with which they do this query.

    Friendly greetings
    Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my native language.

    I think I found why.
    When I run cmd as Administrator then I get "New connections will be remembered. There are no entries in the list."
    However, when I run cmd without elevated privileges then net use returns all mapped drives.

    Just as i it answered them.

    If you start the command prompt as administrator, it does not mean that it is started with your account creditials.

    And therefore it may be that they are not displayed.

    There can be several administrator accounts on one system.

    I see the same thing in Command Prompt and also in PowerShell and my 2 NAS drives connected to the Router, both Wired and Wireless. I'm the only User on the computers and with Administrative rights.

    @Berton

    please execute the command in a normal CMD or PowerShell, without admin rights.

    @Berton

    Are the NAS really mapped as network drives in Windows Explorer? It works fine for me:

    The drives show in Network in File Explorer but I only Map the Public folder on them.
