    want feedback on firefox vpn

    Windows Home, version 20H2

    1) Does Firefox VPN have a good reputation amongst the Tenforums members?
    2) Please explain how to decide which location to choose on a VPN.
    3) How much overhead should I expect the VPN to require. The reason for this question is that some of my computer usage has very slow internet speed available (2 Mbs or less).

Thanks in advance for your replies.

    regards,

Hi, if it's the one I've seen, it's not free... you could consider e.g. Windscribe.. or another free one with enough free capacity.

    Thanks Dalchina,

I'll look into that. Meanwhile I'll await answers to the other two questions.

RE 2, that will depend upon what you want to use, last one I set up locally [paid for] went to a site on the East Coast first and after that seemed to be just as if going to sites directly.

RE 3, using a VPN connects to another site which masks where you are connecting from, your ISP, so the connection speed probably won't be much different from any other site, maybe just a bit. Have noticed on forums where the time of a connection shown on an account appears be the time of the VPN server, not the user's computer.

    2) Please explain how to decide which location to choose on a VPN.
Example: I wish to buy Stardock's Curtains.
$9.99 in the USA or £10.99 in the UK. Now $1.40 =£1 approx.
    So which is cheaper?

But I'm in the UK. So, I fire up Windscribe, select a US proxy server, and pay in $ using a card with no overhead.
