I'm glad it is sorted out.

Earlier on you asked about firmware. I always update printer firmware - on mine I can do it by running the firmware download and by using a control panel on the printer itself. I haven't even bothered to find out what was in any of the firmware updates, I've just gone ahead with them.

I have not used the HP forums very much. I have seen both good & bad responses there.

I will add that Win10 and Linux are really good at picking up printers and getting at least the basics available to programs for use. Every time I fire up a different machine the print function is there, not like back a number of years ago.
