    Wifi Adapter Antenna Questions

    Hello All

Switching to Ethernet possibly on Saturday for my Main Desktop, Some reason my Wifi 6 adapter can't hold 1.2gbps with Comcast XB7 Gateway anymore, so wondering something should i disconnect antennas, and just keep the card in for Bluetooth 5.0 function til i maybe replace it with a 2.5gig Ethernet card in the future?

Be first time using Ethernet on this newer PC

Is it safe to plug in the ethernet cord while the Desktop is on, or should i shutdown for 3 month dust clean out, do that, then connect the wire after running it? been about 3 years since i used Ethernet based connection

I've never used wireless cards, but you CAN plug or unplug the ethernet cable when the computer is on.

Oh Ok excellent then...i only used wireless since after moving to this Townhome for a while was my only option, lately only getting like 287.0mbps link speed..used to link up at 1.2gbps almost all the time.

Troubleshooted with Comcast alot over the last few days, Factory Reset Gateway device, so finally was like forget it, and gonna go with Ethernet with flat cable this time

Ethernet is awesome. And, on a desktop, there's just about no reason to run wireless anyway.
I'm on Verizon, and I pay for a 100/100 connection. Here is a current "wired" speed test...

Pay for Comcast Gigabit Connection here 1200/35 **To Get 1200 speed, have to purchase 2.5gb ethernet card, and must have cat 6 cable, in future may do that**
