    Exactly- you're not trying to update what you have- but to perform an in-place upgrade repair install as per the instructions in that thread.

    This resets a whole range of things e.g. services, some registry locations etc etc - and may resolve your problem.

    Hi, ok, so basics done, and there was never a guarantee that would fix it.

    Post #7 in the thread below may be of interest. Similar scenario- resolved this problem for several people, comes with attachments you can download and use.

    Back up before trying it.

    Out of curiosity, what's the ping time to your fastest DNS?

    - try DNSjumper (google, free- useful)

    And what result do you get when performing a speed test? E.g.
    Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

    You can experiment with
    SpeedGuide.net :: TCP Optimizer / Downloads
    or perhaps
    Ashampoo Internet Accelerator - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download

    Looks good. Try one of the tools to optimise TCP.

    Then see post #4
    Partial loss of internet connectivity through wired Ethernet...

    i tried TCP Optimizer, on choose settings i set "Windows default" and it doesn't work, then i set to "optimal" and it doesn't work either.

    i was changing some Internet settings and when i get "no internet" i opened the "Windows network diagnostic" and found one problem "DHCP is not enabled for Ethernet" (DHCP was already enabled before i changing the settings) and then the program fixed it. I try to open chrome and download a 1 GB File, the download worked more than usual, i've downloaded 400 MB but after few seconds the speed drops again to 0b/s
