No nepa.cpl file to be found on my PC

I know little about this but I believe the problems I have with my network might be related to the fact that I am unable to find a nepa.cpl file on my PC. What should I do about this?

Most of the Search items found were for ncpa.cpl instead of nepa.cpl.

Thanks. If I have understood correctly it is a shortcut to my 'list' of networks so it will speed up dealing with them, which is helpful as I keep checking several times a day. My problem is that my Ethernet connection keeps failing, for a variety of reasons. I don't lose access to the internet because my PC defaults automatically to WiFi. I have replaced the Ethernet Adapter and cable and carried out various suggested fixes, including those offered by Troubleshooters but my Ethernet connection remains stubbornly 'intermittent'. A program called FING repeatedly notifies me of these connection problems.

I have two ongoing issues which may be related (1) I do not get the broadband speed 'guaranteed' by my ISP (2) I have not been able to use the Sharing features between the two PCs on my local network, despite spending many hours trying to get it to work. Probably the Ethernet issue is not the cause, but before I pursue (1) and (2) further I want to make sure my network is working as it should.

Sharing- check this meticulously on both PCs. Do NOT enable SMB1 unless you have a Win7 or earlier PC or need it for an older NAS.

No nepa.cpl file to be found on my PC-image.png This is current, on one of the occasions when my Ethernet has taken over from WiFi
