    Network / Notwork Help please.

I have 3 PC's at home - one is my server and has about 50TB, the other 2 are my wife's and my PC's. They all use W10 Pro - 20H2.

They used to network happily under Windows Home server, then home group and now having allowed W10 automatic updates for a while, I officially have a Notwork.

I have tried most of the cures I read about here in terms of setup, I renamed my workgroup, set the files sharing but but still cant see all PC's from each other and those I can see, I'm refused access.

Each PC has a different name, same workgroup and sees the internet fine.

I converted to PIN access to all PC's, a few years ago - it works fine on each PC, however....

However, if I see another PC and click it asks for my password - you guessed it I cant remember it. I read an article on removing the pin but if it expects the original PW I'm screwed.

When clicking on a PC seen, sometimes I get a message wrong password and sometimes is you have no access to this PC.

The other thing is that file explorer has changed its views on me and I have problems to get the standard view that shows Network as it used to.

    Can anyone help?

All I want is to access the server files from my PC's - damned MS for dumping Homegroup and Network Magic for dropping the software.

PS try to keep it simple, I'm aging faster than my PC's :)

    Notwork

    Hi,

    Thanks for the answer.

Each PC does have its own name, (password that I can't recall) and pin that works fine.
That is my problem, how do I log in to each PC that I now see in the network without the password? You would think that I could use the pin but no I can't.

If I remove the pin and it insists on my original password then I'm in trouble. Do you know if removing the pin allows me select a new password without knowing the old one?

Or, are saying just create a new same ID on each PC and assign it admin?
