Internet works, but the toolbar indicator shows it is not

I use "troubleshooting", then the system resets the network card, reboots the computer and everything is fine, but only for a day or two. This phenomenon started about 2-3 weeks ago and is still happening again and again. Crazy .
Maybe this is a Patch problem, maybe not. Have you met this trouble lately?

Is it a wireless or cable connection or you have both?
Open device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

    Try this:

    1. Open Registry Editor
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet
    3. Modify the EnableActiveProbing registry key's value data from "0" to "1"
    4. Restart the computer

Thanks, I did it and restarted. Now I have to wait 1 or 2 weeks if the problem occures, unless it will be earlier, sooner or later I will let you know immediately. I'll also checked this on earlier Windows backup, too.

As I told, this icon sometimes shows correctly, sometimes it shows incorrectly. The Internet always works.

If your primary DNS is set to custom server such as one of DNS Crypt hosts or localhost and there is no secondary DNS then you may see this icon, internet should work ofc.

I can say nothing more then this says

I've never change DNS and I think every reseting the network card sets the DNS properly.

Did method that @Silexium gave you work?

if not you can try to set primary DNS to 8.8.8.8
    in powershell run:
    Code:
    Clear-DnsClientCache
then browse few pages and see if the icon goes away.
