Screen frozen in RDP after accidentally closing explorer in taskmanage

Initially my taskbar was stuck in the windows RDP which I was working on. I tried to fix it by closing the windows explorer in the task manager. After then my screen is somehow stuck in the desktop . I am unable to use the task bar or even open windows tab . All I am able to do is open task manager using ctrl+shift+esc. I tried creating a new file and then run explorer.exe , but still the taskbar is frozen and I'm not able to see any contents in my desktop screen. Alt+tab is working fine and background process are also working fine. Kindly help me with this issue. Thanks.

At this point, assuming that you cannot physically approach or safely restart this computer remotely, I suggest that you leave it be, since you can launch programs from the task manager and alt+tab is working.

If you want to fix it, then you would need to restart DWM, kill it from either task manager or command prompt but that is an invasive process and might totally crash your remote desktop session, from which you might or might not be able to reconnect, depending on why all of this has happened it in the first place. DWM would relaunch automatically a few seconds after it is terminated.

Also do make sure that every single explorer process is killed before relaunching it. Warning, there might be more than one
