    Hi there
    Let's go right back to the beginning -- the advantage of this method is that you can also test your "website" locally too.

    Forget IIS -- IMO any Ms thing like that - probably based on the almost unuseable mystery that was Windows N.T - the most "User aggressive" system that ever existed !!! use either on a Linux system L.A.M.P or on a Windows system W.A.M.P --- Windows, Apache, MySql (now MariaDB is used but same commands etc) PHP.

    As this is a Windows Forum then read the article below - It's simply and clearly explained what to do.

    How To Install WAMP Server On Windows 10

    ensure also httpd service is running and you uncheck the iis options in "Turn Windows features on or off.

    Now you should have a working website which should give you what you want to do,

    Note also check your ports that you want to use aren't closed by defaults by your router, I wouldn't also use 80/8080 - you can set your own - explains in the article.

    Now simply stream VLC to your server (serverort) - Should work -- I'll have a go later on a spare Linux box - should be identical

    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply jimbo45.
    I lost my computer for a few days. It's back now, hopefully fixed.
    I will spend the next few days going through the link you sent me and see if I can successfully load the WAMP onto my computer and get back to you when I have finished.
    Bob.

    I am not sure about httpd service running but I have unchecked the iis option in windows features.

    Where is the website?

    I only got to a yellow icon so I followed the advice to change Apache / httpd config and changed the default port to 81
    Listen 0.0.0.0.80
    Listen [=0]:80
    To
    Listen 0.0.0.0.81
    Listen [=0]:81
    I now get the icon in green.

    I am sorry I have no idea how to do this?

    If I connect my camera up now I can still see it on the local port 192.168.0.26.
    I have lost it on 192.168.0.12 and the website rbarton.pagekite.me is not getting my signal anymore. I assume that could be because I have changed the port to 81?

    The indication I get when I open the pagekite software is

    >>> Hello! This is pagekite.py v1.5.2.201011. [CTRL+C = Stop]
    Connecting to front-end relay 109.237.26.34:443 ...
    - Relay supports 10 protocols on 19 public ports.
    - Raw TCP/IP (HTTP proxied) kites are available.
    - To enable more logging, add option: --logfile=/path/to/logfile
    Abuse/DDOS protection: Relaying traffic for up to 5 clients per 10800s.
    Quota: You have 1 days, 5.0 tunnels left.
    ~<> Flying localhost:80 as https://rbarton.pagekite.me/
    !!! 82.47.53.84 - http://rbarton.pagekite.me:443 (FAIL: localhost:80 is down)
    << pagekite.py [flying] Kites are flying and all is well

    (The next to the last line says FAIL: localhost:80 is down)
    I assume this is because I have changed it to 81?

    I have looked on how-to geek at
    Beginner Geek: How to Host Your Own Website on Windows (WAMP)
    It says to Left click on the icon and hit “Localhost”
    If I do that it tries to open a web page but says this site can't be reached?
    It does say I need the following files

    WAMP 64-bit required packages:
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) (that’s not a typo – you need the x86 package)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 (select vcredist_x64.exe)

    If I go to uninstall it shows I only have the third one, I have 9 others but none exactly the same as above? Do I need to download these files?

    I hope I am still on the correct path and welcome your help further.
    Bob.

    Hi,
    I have spent most of last evening and late into the night looking at the web building program Wordpress to find out how to put my camera on the site.
    I have altered and added bits to the site
    rbarton194992649.wordpress.com
    but I can't find any way of adding my camera to the site.
    I have wamp builder running and can find no way of connecting my camera to that either

    I already have websites that I have opened and don't use any more
    see dougalevans.webs.com
    all I want to do is put my camera from my local address 192.168.0.26 onto a web page

    Is this possible?
    Bob.
