I could use some advise buying Ethernet cable.

I need 3 cat5e cables, totaling 102 ft.So I suppose the best thing is to buy 150 ft and cut from there.

Would this be a good place? CableSalesCanada.comAlso, I do not understand their offer. How is this cable sold? I thought it would be by the foot, but I do not see information that would confirm it.What do you think?

    Thanks guys!

The price given of 0.75 is per foot. Add to that the number of cable ends needed, 2 per cable at about $1 each in the US. And a tool will be needed to crimp the ends onto the cables. Also check this page for orientation of the wires, there's usually 8 wires in 4 twisted pairs.

Straight-through is usual and cross-over is for computer to computer, nothing between. I've always made my own cables as needed. I also have an inexpensive tester to assure built correctly.

I believe what is linked to in post #1 are pre-made 6-inch jumper cables. Definitely not what you are looking for. I would suggest you go to Home Depot and pull what you need off the bulk cable spool. Should cost you about 40 cents/ft. If you don't have the crimping tools and connectors, cut the cables to the length you need and maybe find a computer shop to put connectors on for you. I use feed-through connectors and a crimping tool made for feed-through connectors.

Also, if you have gigabit ethernet adapters, crossover is no longer required to connect computer-to-computer. Gigabit Ethernet adapters are auto sensing.

If you have access to a Lowe's or Home Depot they sell bulk cable in various gauges and lengths as well as pre-made cable in long lengths.

The seller is asking me if I need CMP cables?
    My choices are :

150' CAT5e CMP cables in blue and white $ 76.95 in stock

150' CAT5e Economy cables in white $ 12.95 in stock

He says that the Economy are copper but do not have the CM rating on the cable.
Would the Economy be good enough?

CMP cables have fire retardant sheathing and are used if cable is to be run inside air ducts in buildings. If the run is not inside air ducts that standard is not required. If in doubt check your local building codes.

    Thank you Railtech :)
To simplify this whole project I decided to just get 50 ft x3 cables, and snug the extra length at either end. Fortunately I can afford not to be too picky.
