How do I configure my iPad to connect to my Windows 10 VPN server?

I have an application where I need to access my PC from my iPad over the Internet and have the PC assign my iPad an IP address within the range of my LAN (i.e. 192.168.1.xxx).

I've created a VPN server using the built-in capabilities of Windows 10 Pro version 20H2. However, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to configure my iPad as client. I don't have a security certificate from my PC, nor do I see a way to share a secret that the iPad is asking for.

Does anyone have any idea how to proceed?

My PC is a wired Ethernet connection to my LAN.

    Thanks a million,

    -Paul

Does your router support VPN server? That's the easy way. What app or program did you use to create the VPN server on your PC?

I'm actually using the built-in Windows 10 VPN server. I tried OpenVPN, but to bridge subnets, I have to use the dev tap command and the iPad only supports dev tun (and to be clear, I'm not entirely comfortable with networking. I'm just repeating what I've learned during this project).

As far as the router is concerned, I'll look into it... but I don't believe it does.

I believe Windows 10 built in VPN server is PPTP:

iOS 10 and above do not support PPTP, so you will have to find a different VPN server.

Granted, I am not too savvy on Windows 10 VPN server because my router has VPN server built-in (OpenVPN), and that is what I use.
