    Help me understand whats wrong

Hi. I capture this on my wireshark but i never installed dropbox since fresh OS install. But still it makes connections to it. And also it makes connections to "M-Search ssdp discovery dial multiscreen" from google chrome that i have uninstalled but it still makes those connections. In the picture you can see that there is someone using a Apple Mac in those connections, both dropbox connection and chrome connection. I suspect some hacking going on here. I have a PC not Mac.

I´m running Windows 10 Home single language x64.

I even disabled SSDP in services but it seems it still makes connections with SSDP anyway. There is even a MDNS connection to someones Macbook Pro as seen in the picture. Please help. Thanks in advance

It's just part of Windows 10's native support for 'mDNS/zeroconf' ability, used primarily by the Settings app to look around.

As such, they are not network 'connections'. They are just IPv4 and IPv6 multicast and broadcast addresses used for 'Any devices out there?' and 'What are you/What's your device name?' queries to any network devices within range and absolutely normal.

To see them in action, make sure Wi-Fi is on (and Bluetooth if you want to discover very local devices) then click on the Connect icon in Action Center. Next, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

On my laptop it shows several of my neighbours' TVs and other media devices like Sonos speakers... but I'm not connected to them, nor can I. And they cannot connect to me. All I can do is see the device names, nothing more.

Any device names you see there have been 'discovered' using these automated queries. All entirely normal and not 'connections'.

(Note that the broadcast addresses may also be used by other software like Apple's Bonjour and DropBox's discovery services.)

Hope this helps... there's nothing wrong.

Thanks for the reply. I dont use wifi or bluetooth, i dont have a wifi dongle or a bluetooth dongle inserted to my PC, i use ethernet directly into the Hotel in the wall. I live in a longstay Hotel at the moment, is that why i see other peoples devices? How can i disable this Mdns and other broadcasting in windows 10? I dont want to be seen by other people here in the hotel. I have disabled everything i can find that has to do with sharing my pc and network before i did a wireshark sniffing. So is it normal that it still see others when i have disabled it all? Have i missed something? Thank you for answering.

P.S i dont have any Apple software on my pc niether do i have dropbox ever installed.
