Win10 Pro & Enterprise to Win10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB File Share
So I found a strange file sharing behavior (sharing set to password protected sharing), point to point network shown as public network on both platforms, where a login screen for PC using windows explorer will not spawn and using TCP\IP as address, ex. "\\192.168.3.7" in address bar for windows explorer (error states cannot connect to requested device) UNLESS on the platform I am trying to connect to in the firewall inbound rules (public) I explicitly enable the "File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In). Not quite sure why as MS has specifically stated not to use SMB unless absolutely necessary. Note target PC where I am setting firewall inbound rules and attempting to connect to is running Win10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB. All users on all platforms in "Administrators" group. All file sharing is set explicitly for the "Administrators" group user. Anyone else in the Win 10 Enterprise arena seen this kind of weird symptom? I don't recall this symptom with Win10 Pro to Win10 Pro.
