    My iMac does not show in Network


    When I click Network in the Internet Explorer, I do not see my iMac. However, if I enter into Run, "MY-IMAC", the shared files appear. The WorkGroup is set the same for both computers and I have the IP for the iMac set in both WINS (192.168.1.2). No doubt, I'm missing some setting.
    Thank you for any assistance.

    Problem solved. I rechecked the Work Group (WorkGroup) settings and found that I had Business Network checked. Not any more since I no longer have my own server in my office. That did it! Of course I needed to make sure the WINS setting on the Mac had the correct WorkGroup name (I changed it).

    I should have checked that. Nevertheless, thank you for your off - greatly appreciated.

All three PCs have the same network sharing settings. Two are W10 Pro, one W10 Home. Have tried resetting network on all etc etc. Can see if addressed directly, e.g. //PC3/whatever - but the PC never shows up under Network in File Explorer. Why?!
