    Getting nowhere with sharing drives

    Hi,
Could someone tell me how to share drives? I've spent hours doing everything imaginable but not succeeding.

From win10-pc I can see "D" and "E" in Explorer-Network-Win10-pc2 but both drives give this message when trying to access them.

    Windows cannot access \\Win10—pc2\e
You do not have permission to access \\Win10-pc2\e. Contact your network administrator to
    request access.

Although win10-pc can access some folders on win10-pc2, just not the drives.

On the win10-pc2 machine under Network they are accessible.
I have tried to set full access Permissions for Everyone on win10-pc2 but it just won't work

    Many thanks for any help.

It wasn't folders, I wanted to share the whole thing. It seems to be working now (I had to add "Everyone" twice). Didn't notice that to start with.

If you share a drive it confuses windows as by default all drives are shared with a $ ie d$ e$. Sharing a drive with everyone is great new for hackers

I find the MS drive/folder sharing is very cumbersome. I would rather use a NAS for sharing.....this way each user uses a user name and password to login to the NAS software from anywhere in the world via internet. Just my opinion.

At least you got it working.
