    Problem sharing newly added HDD

Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to Windows 10 but always find an answer by my self with my own research but now...I really need help...

I have 3 entire HDD shared with my other computers on my local network and always had access on other computers but now...I replaced a 4TB WD greed by a 16TB Seagate EXOS X16 and now I can't access this drive on other computers. All settings are the same as before : allow network discovery (private network), allow files and printer sharing, permissions to everyone (sharing), full control to everyone, anthentificated user, system and admin (security).

Oh and the error message is that I don't have permission to access (desktop-XXXXXXX). Contact your network administrator.

Tried to restart all computers, check for update but nothing. All up to date.

    Thanks in advance.

    V1909 Build 18636.1316 (sharing PC)
2 PCs on V2004 Build 19041.746 that don't have access
2 PCs on V1909 Build 18363.1316 one have access and other one don't

PS : my profile just show my main gaming PC but If you need more infos on other PCs, let me know.
PS2 : if you need screenshot, let me know. Just specify which PC you want screenshots.

Create a folder on your new drive. Name it it share (or anything else)
Right click on the folder in file explorer and choose properties.
click share then below that advance share.
check the share this folder box and then permissions choose everyone
click the oks and apply to close those off.
Refresh f5 and see if that folder is now shared.

Are you sharing the whole drive? If you are it often gives problems as its shared and you have created a second share it will be shared as d$ (ie drive letter dollar).
The second thing is share doesnt give you access you must set ntfs permission as well

    NTFS permissions ?

And yes, I shared the whole drive (didn't have problem to share the last HDD as a whole)

My concern is the total GB size of said drive.....some mobo's have a limit to the size of HDD they can use. My old Asus M4N78 Pro can only handle a 2TB size drive.

This is where I would use a NAS which allows for larger capacity drives and then you can easily share across the network via NAS software.
