Windows 10 desktop keeps intermittently dropping wifi

Good day all- [Operating off of Frontier DSL] I have wireless wifi from both the Arris (Frontier-monthly rental) and a Asus that is set up as a relay for better coverage. Currently all computers are working off wifi as no ethernet wiring is available for their locations. Have one working off Windows 10 and three with Linux Mint. All use Firefox browsers. Linux is solid but W-10 keeps intermittently dropping wifi link whether it is coming from the Arris or the Asus repeater and with both 2.4 or 5G. Because of the Linux working fine I would guess something (settings?) in the W-10 is not right?!?

    Windows 10 Professional (x64) Version 2004 (build 19041.630)

I have a modem/router coming today to replace the rental from Frontier (no more rent) and as this house has good-solid 75 ohm coax I am going to install gocoax (MoCA) adapters to utilize three legs of the existent wirings. Plan on hooking the Asus directly to an adapter for a repeater point instead of via wireless as it now relays signals from the Arris wirelessly.

    Thanks kindly for reading

    Just a thought!

Can you please perform the following [ this checks for ANY Problem Device Errors ] . . .

[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file [ Find_ANY_Problem_Devices.bat ].

If there are ANY errors it will create a Prob_Devices.txt file on the Desktop.

    I hope this helps.

Paul; I opened the .bat file and got several warnings not to run it but being a CURIOUS GEORGE and from W-10 Forum I ran it anyway.

Sorry to say it is so far above my pay-grade it just as well be in Mandarin Chinese. Far from "ANY" There must be at least 100 errors such as:

I wrote that Batch script and I can assure you that it is safe to download and run.
It has been downloaded and run by 100's of members on this forum.

I don't know which Batch script you ran, but it certainly was NOT the file I asked you to run!

MoCA set up and operating with (3) GOCOAX adapters

I am presently getting a good ethernet signal to the W-10 computer behind a VPN.
There was 75 ohm coax installed in my home and I did not want cable service for TV. Subscribed to Frontier for DSL which is currently the best available. Purchased my own Modem/Router and three GoCoax adapters to set up a MoCA connection to the far end of the house where the entertainment TV is located with a Intel computer running Linux Mint.
Adapter at Modem to coax> to entry box and 3-way splitter> one coax to adapter and entertainment computer/TV> other coax to adapter and Windows-10 computer. Seems to be working thru Modem for solid ethernet signal.

Before getting the last GoCoax adapter to my W-10 computer it was running off wi-fi. As said previously with the MoCa hooked from the Modem to the entertainment computer(Linux) it would function on either ethernet or wi-fi. The other two Linux machines always worked on wi-fi. The W-10 machine would drop the wi-fi signal UNLESS the MoCA was disconnected at the Modem then it would function with good wi-fi signal. (no ethernet available to it at the time).

All three GoCoax adapters were reset to DHCP Auto. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WAS ALL THREE ADAPTERS AND THE ROUTER TRIPPING OVER ONE ANOTHER fighting over 192.168.254.254.
Seems to be stable/functioning properly and the MoCA signal is great!

Thanks to all for your patience

Paul; I continued to run the file ignoring warnings because I was confident that it was safe to do so. Just commenting on what popped up for me on my machine. Let me recheck to see if I got the wrong Batch script. Sorry if I offended..

Apparently I did run the wrong batch file. This time I got:Windows 10 desktop keeps intermittently dropping wifi-no-problems.jpg

Paul Black; Thanks for your kind assistance.

You didn't offend me, I was just pointing out that it was safe to download and run.
    You are VERY welcome.
At least that is another option that can be ignored as causing the problem!
