What are these Microsoft domains used for?

    Hello!
I have some questions about outgoing network connections. I have a brand-new fully updated installation of Windows 10, and I've recently setup COMODO Firewall that is set to alert me for all outgoing traffic. I've been getting lots of alerts for various Microsoft domains. Yes, I know that I also blocked Windows Update, which is why I'm trying to whitelist everything system-related on a case-by-case basis. I was wondering, if anyone knows what these domains are used for. Google didn't return much data or maybe I just suck at searching.

Windows is randomly trying to connect to these domains:
    • tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com - Found: Used to download operating system patches, updates, and apps from Microsoft Store
    • fe3cr.delivery.mp.microsoft.com - Found: Used to download operating system patches, updates, and apps from Microsoft Store
    • settings-win.data.microsoft.com - Found: Used for Windows apps to dynamically update their configuration (whatever that means)
    • ctldl.windowsupdate.com - Found: Certificate Trust List
    • slscr.update.microsoft.com - Found: Windows update
    • client.wns.windows.com - Found: Used for the Windows Push Notification Service(WNS)
    • dns.msftncsi.com - ???
    • ris.api.iris.microsoft.com - Found: Used to retrieve Windows Spotlight metadata that describes content
    • cxcs.microsoft.net - Microsoft customer experience center???
    • cdn.onenote.net - Found: Microsoft OneNote
    • arc.msn.com - Found: Windows Spotlight

If anyone has some information what these domains are for I'd be most grateful.

EDIT: Well, I guess I suck at searching. I found this which is most helpful:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...prise-editions
Still, that doesn't completely answer my curiosity since not all entries are very informative.

    For example:
settings-win.data.microsoft.com - Used for Windows apps to dynamically update their configuration
What exactly does this mean for an app to dynamically update its configuration? This isn't very clear on what its doing.

    EDIT 2: Formatting
