I've had exactly the same problem as you and the solution was to uninstall Malwarebytes premium. If you use this program, you can try it. There is a thread about it on Malwarebytes forum.

Thanks. I do run Malawarebytes premium. I will shut it off and see. I hope it works without a reboot because it will be active again.

I do not know if it is enough to turn it off. I uninstalled it completely.

I turned it off and my network computers became visible in Windows File Explorer. I started a ticket at Malawarebytes support site. Again, thanks.

There is a new version of Malawarebytes - ver. 4.2.2.95. I installed it on all my computers and it fixed the problem. I won't have to shut Malawarebytes down or uninstall it. All seems to be fine at this point.

I also tested that version of Malwarebytes during the evening. I have three computers and a server to be seen in Explorer, which they did first. They were allowed to run for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, they disappeared from the explorer during that time. I uninstalled Malwarebytes again and the computers and server immediately reappeared in Windows Explorer.

WOW I hope mine reacts better. So far they have been doing well. I am about to shut them down for the night so I guess I'll see what happens in the morning.
