    WOL on local network

    Hi everyone

I have two PC's on my LAN running Windows 10 ver 19042.572.

I've just upgraded some bits on PC2 and reinstalled Windows. Before the upgrade, I was able to open up a RDP session and if PC2 was in a sleep state, it would wake it without the need for sending a magic packet to it.

Now with the fresh install, this does not happen, however sending a magic packet through does wake it from it's sleep state and I am able to connect on to it.

Would anyone know what setting needs to be changed to allow network traffic to wake the PC?

WOL is enabled in the BIOS
Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is checked
Allow this device to wake the computer is check
    Hibernate is disabled
    Fast startup is disabled

Hello @tez1 and welcome to TF,

Check the Device Manager driver setting for your LAN card and see if it's enabled there under Power Management tab.
