Duck Duck Go or Google
DDG may be more private ( is it ? ) but I've been using it for the past week and I'm convinced Google is the best search engine what do people think

I use startpage.com because they doesn't sell my data.
Google, I reserve for the rare occasion, preferably NEVER!
I know the Google results are always astronomically huge compared to almost any other search app but as for useful or even related results, I prefer startpage.com .
There's not much point if the search results hit on anything remotely close and then I have to wade through endless links to find the useful info. I'm an information junkie but I have better things to do with my time. YMMV
It seems like Google's hits display more information about them, in the case of forum posts it usually displays the dates when they were posted, which is necessary for the results to be of any use. Also Google's image search seems to divulge data like resolution easier. I've only tried DDG a few times though, it may require getting used to. There are other "complications" in my browser settings too that may affect DDG's results, "complications" that may not be mentioned here. But rest assured, I did enable every script that DDG requires, which are few compared to those of Google.
Some time ago I wondered whether a family member was still alive.
So I searched with startpage on name and in memoriam. No hit, so my conclusion was: he is still alive. Then I tried with Google. result in first hit, so conclusion was he passed away.
Google gives the best results by far and I couldn't care less how they pay to provide the service.
I agree with John. I use Google for work as it gives the best results. Bing isnt quite there yet.
