Windows 10 pro download speed problems

Hi. So i bought a brand new PC today with a TP Link Dual Band wifi adapter. Before downloading anything, i head over to speed test and find that my internet is working perfectly fine (35mbps download). But as soon as i start downloading a game, it drops drastically down to 3mbps! Ive tried so many fixes/driver updates/ troubleshoots, you name it... and still no results, all other devices at home are at 35mbps with no issues. Even tried ethernet cable and its still not fixed.

So whats going on you think? Is it windows 10 pro? The adapter itself? Or my ISP? Or something broken in the PC?

I can browse the net just fine. Its only about the download speed while in the action of downloading. Please help.

Download speeds depend also on aspects upstream of your ISP. Download speeds could be throttled by the game's server or limited elsewhere. Try downloading a Win 10 iso file or something moderately large from a completely different source.

Can any other device download the same game, and what speed is then achieved?

Open Office is a 135MB download that has no throttling. Try to download this...

You are being far too impatient.
You have not done all the Windows updates that need to be done on a new PC.
That will take maybe a day or two for things to settle down.

How many people are sharing your internet service ? That is 35 Mbps total, not each user at the same time.

Often game servers will restrict download speeds on popular games or at times of major updates. Server capacity costs them money.

Most of these Game clients have settings for download restrictions, in Origin it is Origin > Application Settings > Download restrictions.
The dropdown list is in MB/s where as your download speeds are measured in Mbps.(1 MB/s is approx 8 Mbps).
