Should I have 2 profiles here

I ask because my network changes from Private to Public. Happens on 3 computers running WiFi. I have no internet when this happens. All Win 10 2004

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles\

On a brand new Intel NUC within 20 minutes using WiFi.
Depending on the answer my next step is to run a cat 5 cable.

    Thanks

    Hello @ken1943.

Type the below in a cmd prompt and press <Enter> . . .
    Code:
    ipconfig /all > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\IP_Config.txt"
Copy the results into your post.

    I hope this helps!

That does nothing. This is what I am looking at from an answer searching. This is Win 10 2004
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles\
Do you have TWO there ????

That's strange that there was no data output!

    I have 28.

Whatever your problem is, it is not the number of profiles.

But the contents of the profiles might reveal useful information about the problem.

For each profile [each Registry key], please post
Category [0 means Public, 1 means Private]
    Description
    ProfileName

If the profiles are causing problems then I'll probably suggest:
    - Make a sytem image so you can get back to square one if it all goes wrong
    - Turn off your router wifi signal / disconnect LAN cable
    - Settings, Networks,... - Forget all networks.
    - Registry [the key we are discussing] - delete all profiles
    - Turn on your router wifi signal / re-connect LAN cable
    - When you are connecting to the networks for 'first' time, Windows will want you to tell it whether or not the network is discoverable [Private] or not [Public].
    - I think the tutorial says the same as I have - Delete Wireless Network Profile - TenForumsTutorials
    - I had to use this procedure once when I re-used the name of the wifi network after changing routers. I would have saved some effort by just thinking of a new name but everything was okay after I'd done this procedure.
