i have hyper v enabled why do i have 2 hyper v ethernet switches ???

so windows asked me the other day to reboot to configure ethernet switch for hyper v I thought was kind of strange, as well I did that when I first setup , but it asked so I rebooted and to my surprise I have 2 Ethernet hyper v switches making a total of three with my WI-FI one. what is the purpose of this.? should there not be only one hyper v switch and one hyper v Wi-Fi one. I uninstalled hyper v reinstalled it and it just comes back. is this like the new normal?. or is something wired going on ??

In the Hyper-V Manager, open the Virtual Switch Manager. My guess is that you simply have more than one virtual switch defined.

There are reasons for doing this. For example, maybe you have one External switch created to allow VMs access to the physical network. Then you might have another Internal switch to allow only direct communication between the guest OS and the host system.

Hmmm, interesting. I'm going to take a guess here because I favor VMware Workstation and don't use Hyper-V much, but could it be that you have a Hyper-V machine configured with 2 network adapters? If that's not the case, let me know and I will try to research further and maybe even setup a VM on Hyper-V to see if I can duplicate this somehow.

no only reason i have Hyper-V enabled is to use edge application guard , I don't have any Hyper-V machines even created it had to be on to use edge application guard window.

yeah is very strange not even sure why a second one was created let alone how to remove it its like upon enabling Hyper-V it created these, but i can see 2 one for Wi-Fi and one for ethernet, but a third one for ethernet makes no since at all, and how it created that is bazar.
