    Domain host file problem

Why does this simple Domain Host File not work!?!

I only added 6 lines at the bottom so my browser goes to my router instead of the real website. All of these work EXCEPT for the last one. When I type homenas.com, it takes me to a weird site. Why? Please tell me why I am stupid.

Below are the contents of my domain host file - simply the same as everyone else's except for the last 6 lines.

    Code:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com
    # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com
    # x client host
    # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    #    ::1             localhost

    192.168.1.1 routeradmin.com
    192.168.1.1 routeradminpage.com
    192.168.1.1 router.com
    192.168.1.1 routerpage.com
    192.168.1.1 adminpage.com
    192.168.1.2:XXXX homenas.com
*The XXXX stands for 4 numbers. I didn't want to reveal it publicly.

Anyway, I thought that every website that you write in the address bar will go to the ip address that you specify? What stupid thing am I doing wrong?

    By the way:
Also, I had a quick question. Do you have to always write ".com" after the website? It would be cool if I could just type "homeNAS" and it would take me to my NAS. Any way to accomplish this?

Try without the port you dont need.com you can call it what you want as long as its the same address you enter when connecting ie thats why you have localhost
