    Automatic monitoring internet speed

My internet speed is most of the times perfect (abo 50/10, measured 56/11).
Sometimes, during evening hours, I notice a strong, not acceptable drop in download speed (download speed in such case 2-3 Mbps), whereas upload speed remains unchanged (11 Mbps). I do not believe it is related to my home equipment.
Before I contact the provider, I like to gather more info: how often and how long are these drops.
Is there a program with which I can monitor the internet speed, for instance performing during several hours an automatic test every 5-10 minutes and saving the results?

I would just Google: realtime monitor for internet speed

There are many of them out there.

Keep in mind that most internet providers, see a serious uptick in network usage in the evening hours.
People come home from work, they get on the internet. Unless you have an internet provider that has many times the bandwidth it EVER needs...you will see fluctuations like you mentioned.
