Internet dropping out when I close the machine down

    Internet dropping out when I close the machine down


    I have anew machine but every time I reboot or start up the internet connection is not connected and I have to physically connect it again - a small but irritating issue.

    Any ideas on what I can do to stop it doing that.

    Hi there, the first time you accessed your IP , you'd enter your credentials (username and password) then in the same dialog you'd have the choice to have it AUTOMATIC or otherwise. If you click on Automatic your access to your IP would happen the instant you turn on your PC/Laptop. You can change that anytime by clicking the lower right internet access icon (wireless or otherwise)

    Thanks Rick but that's how I did set it up when I got the machine and I cannot find a setting that makes the machine automatically connect to the internet. I mean it is no big deal except when you have to restart for for whatever reason otherwise i shall just put up with it eh?

    I am using wifi Samuria and I think I have just got the answer from a YouTube by altering the the power settings in the Control panel for Networking and Sharing centre anyway we shall see next time I have it shut down for any length of time but thansk for you reply.
