Best solution for my WiFi problem?

So my ISP provided me with a bad router that has bad signal. The router sits in the living room, and that's pretty much the only place the WiFi signal is strong enough. When I go to the other rooms, which aren't too far, the signal drops to zero, i.e no internet. Maybe the thick walls are to blame too.

I was thinking about a few solutions and I'd like you to tell me which one do you think is the best:

    1) Buy a set of repeaters and spread them across the house - put a repeater in the middle way between the router and the rooms, and more repeaters inside the room - But I have no idea if repeaters actually work.. and the fact that the walls are thick - will it even work?

    2) Buy a powerline kit with WiFi like this one: Powerline 600 Wi-Fi 3-pack Kit - Looks like a decent solution

    3) Since the kit above may be hard to get in my country, I was thinking about getting a regular set of powerline adapters, and to each powerline (in each separate room) connect an AP or a router that will act as an AP - The problem here is that each room is going to have his own different WiFi network, which is annoying because whenever I switch between rooms I have to log into a different WiFi network to get the best signal. But, maybe you know of a smart AP/router that can actually turn this WiFi network into a seamless single network that would switch automatically between the networks whenever I am going near the closest AP/router? Something like the kit above, just using AP/router instead of a ready kit (Because the kit above may not be available to me)

    Thanks!

being brick and concrete going to be hard for signal to go threw that. i have 5 levels in my house and the mesh system works perfectly for me but i do not have brick walls just drywall. it is advised to have 2 bars at next placement of the other nests

I have two repeaters in my home -- and that is only because mesh systems weren't available when I set these up.

Mesh system do what you mentioned in 3) above -- and while they do cost a bit, consider that you're getting a base unit and one or more extender units for that money. So it costs about the same as adding repeaters -- but with a lot less admin work.

When you check the mesh system costs, make sure you are NOT looking at WiFi-6 units -- as those are a LOT more expensive than the slightly older units.

Can you run an ethernet cable from living room to another room (flat ethernet cables can be run under carpets and doors unobtrusively).

If so best option is to connect another router closer to where you want wifi signal. If you can run cable I can give more details.

Get the ISP to give you a better router.

The above solution is what I use to get WIFI in my backyard. The powerline ethernet adapters + WIFI AP. The WIFI AP I purchased can also be used as a repeater so I don't have to make any changes when I go outside the house with my tablet or laptop.

I don't know about your ISP but usually the routers they give you are the most basic model (cheap). It would definitely be wise to invest in at least an AC1900 router. My old ISP supplied me with modem/router combo so I could not remove their router from my network. I ended up plugging in my router to one of their router's LAN ports and used it that way. My current ISP allows me to use my own modem and router (they wanted to charge me $10/month for their modem and $15/month for their router...PPFFFT!).

Sometimes external electric points are on a separate phase to main house and then powerline adapters do not work.

My garage at an old house was like that. There was once a power cut affecting one phase only.

Several houses (mine as well) but not all in street were blanked out but my garage was not.

Mind you I always wondered if a neighbour was paying my garage's leccy bill LOL.

I use Google Wifi. I asked my ISP to disable the wireless on their cable modem as I wanted to use my own equipment. I have the 3 puck Google wifi setup (although I don't really need all 3, i just put one in basement, one on my floor (router) and one upstairs. It's worked great for me.
