400 Bad Request This server does not support the operation

    Dear All

I have seen many thread like the one I am posting now but I couldn't find a cure ,,,,may be I overlooked or it is hiding somewhere on net I didn't find it
I am trying to set Netgear Nighthawk D8500 with Firmware Version V1.0.3.50_1.0.1 as an Access Point and I was looking to change the LAN IPs then this message popped up

    Code:
400 Bad Request This server does not support the operation requested by your client

How can I overcome this issue ?

    Thx

I've had the same thought but so far haven't needed to do it but in researching found some pages about using a second Router for the Access Point. Some pages:
How do I change my NETGEAR router to AP mode after setting it up? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
    More:
set router as access point at DuckDuckGo

I came into possession of a nice Router with the Modem function not working but it makes a nice 4-port switch for expanding a network.

The lan IP and dhcp are tied so you may need to change dhcp first if you just change lan ip you wont get back in unless you manually set your network as dhcp would be wrong

    Yes you are right.
But now I am curious to know why I can't change LAN ip address to whatever I like
