    VPN connection

    Hi

I have a weird issue using a VPN, for some reason it wont work on my main machine ( version 2004 build 19041.423 )

The things I have tested :

    • At first I thought it was a network issue , so i trued the set up the vpn with the same credentials on my crapy laptop and guess what , the vpn worked!!
    • enable ports TCP 1723 , UDP 500 , 4500, still no luck.
    • Find "Xbox Live Networking Services" and disable that service. still no luck.
    • regedit, go to Equipo\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PolicyAgent, change AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule value to 2. No luck.

"It won't work" meaning it does not change your IP address or won't install ?

May want to contact the VPN provider for troubleshooting advice.

What I meant to say is that the issue I have is with the vpn configuration built in windows 10. I am not using any vpn client, just the built in vpn that windwos 10 has.

Do you have access to VPN server? (ex. username/password - user account on server, server address etc..)
If yes, have you tried disabling firewall completely and trying again?

@MCardona81: Have you used a VPN before? Do you understand that you need to connect to a VPN server? Who is your provider?

Yes I have. still no luck. I have the correct username and password. the vpn connection works fine on my laptop, not on my main machine.

Yes I have. I understand perfectly how a VPN works . As I stated on my post, the vpn connection works on my laptop, but not on my main machine , they both are connected on the same network.
