    Sharing Printer problem

I'd like to share my win10 printer in Xp. I know this isn't an xp forum but hoping someone can help me anyway as w10 related.
XP "sees" the printer okay but then shows a 'Connect To' dialog wanting a User/Password.

The win10 machine has been setup to not ask for this normally so the information isn't known. I used cmd and "whoami" to get a username and and entered that and my MS account password.

This brought up "The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials. Overwriting the existing set of credentials may cause some running applications to stop function properly. Do you really want to overwrite the existing set of credentials?"

Now of course I do not know what to reply to that, and I don't want to stop something that currently works.
How can I find what the existing set of credentials are, so I can use them ? (I am the only user of the computer, btw).

    Thanks.

It sounds like you are trying to "Share" printer, that is the Windows 10 machine has to be powered on for the XP machine to potentially share the device.

I would set the printer up as a network printer, that is connect the printer to the network and then add the printers in Win 10 and XP to use the device.

Not sue what type of printer this is but most printers sold have the ability to connect to networks wirelessly. I prefer a wired connection but this isn't always possible due to wiring or location issues.

One problem when you connect to a shared printer it has to download drivers for the printer from the pc your connecting to it likely 10 wont have xp drivers you may need to install on xp so it has the drivers
