    Very strange Connection Problem

    Hi all,

This is a wierd one so bear with me :]

A couple of minutes after booting the pc websites will no longer load. Except for Google and Youtube - it will search but when I click on the links it won't work. I can ping all other websites just fine they just wont load in any browser.

It also seems that local network connections get cut off somehow - I can no longer remote desktop to other machines on our lan BUT the PC that has the problem does accept connections. I also cant acces remote drives printers etc. I can ping em.

I should also note that this is the only pc on the lan that has this problem.
Rebooting the systems makes everything work OK for a while.

another strange thing is that clicking on the share tab in the a Drive menu crashes explorer

Windows 10 pro - build 10.0.18362 - all updates installed.

What I tried so far :

Turned off defender and anitvirus software - no luck
I flushed and changed dns to several different ones - no luck
changed IP from static to dynamic - no luck
I ran chechdisk - no luck
I ran sfc - which found 0 erros - no luck
I restored windows to a couple of days before it started acting up. - no luck
I think it somehow stopped working during this log section - but I'm not 100% sure :

Thanks for the suggestion, I just tried running the troubleshooter and I get the "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem " . Detailed info gives " No issues detected".

Pinging Microsoft.com works fine. maybe thats why it doesnt detect problems ?

Since you can ping other websites, try accessing those websites by ip address rather than by name.

    Show us your ipconfig info:

    Open a Elevated Command Prompt:

Press Win key, type cmd. Right click on cmd.exe at top left and select Run as Administrator.

Copy & Paste the following into the Command Prompt window, exactly as shown, including double quotes:

    cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" | find /i "proxy" >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

    and press ENTER.

A file will open in Notepad. Please Copy & Paste the contents here. Please don't redact anything as there is nothing in there that is a security breach. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close. Post results in a reply here.

Check your router logs, and the Windows Event Logs for clues.
