Cannot open Network & Internet Settings - crashes

Hello everybody, I need some help. My internet is working, but I cannot open network & internet settings, it just crashes. I have tried safe mode, it opens in safe mode but when I go back to normal mode it wont open. It is a small issue that is driving me nuts. I have tried sfc /scannow & troubleshooters. I modify my services, and have a feeling that may be a part of the issue... so I will include screenshots of how my services are currently set up. I'm on the latest windows 2004. Latest network drivers, too. I really appreciate any help, thanks for reading. Id hate to have to reinstall windows.

- has this just happened?
- for how long do you think this has been a problem?
- do you know if it worked since you upgrade to build 2004?

If it happened quite recently, have you considered using a System Restore point if you have one?

Thanks for your responce. Yes, that is the setting I cannot open. It did work previously to updating, yes. I cannot do a restore because I have that disabled.. i don't think it's been broken for long. I've been attempting to turn some services back on that I had disabled, but no luck yet. I need someone to help me assosiate which services are attached to that setting. I'll bet thats the issue. EDIT: cannot open with new user

This means repairs such as an in-place upgrade repair install which like any upgrade keeps all progs and data would be appplicable.

Otherwise you could try Tweaking.com's free repair tool which includes repairs for restoring services to default.
Observe the cautious preparatory steps, select only the relevant repairs.

I recommend you use System Restore: tools that that, when they work, can let you fix things without needing help.

I also hope you're using disk imaging routinely - so, so often recommended here. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free-paid) + external storage for disk image files.

Can save you from clean installs, corrupted and failed disks... and again avoid the need for technical help in some cases.

Just double checking, using the option for reset, keep my files, will not delete anything? Example, my games and saves on any drives? I'm considering trying that.. but I would hate to loose any data. I just got my OS setup. It will reset all settings though?

Simply:
a. download 2004 iso file
b. rt click, Mount it
c. open new drive letter created in file explorer
d. double click setup.exe

Recommended before any major change: update or creat your disk image (see above).

Using Tweaking.com's tool is a much smaller step.

The choice is yours.

I decided to just do a full wipe. Super annoying but this time around i'll make a backup of the registry. Lesson learned ,thank you

I would start doing disk image backups on a frequent basis.
