Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

I just tried to go into safe mode with networking. I tried twice...option 5 from boot menu, Safe Mode with Networking. But when it boots, it does not load networking.

If I click on the lower right corner icon, it shows Airplane Mode square. Doesn't say if it is on or off. Doesn't indicate anything if I click the Airplane button.

Went into Networking Status and tried to add a network. It says it does not find any networking hardware...something to that effect. When I click on network adapters in settings, the WiFi adapter is not there.

    Any thoughts?

Yes, it is. For anyone else wondering...a troubleshooting test suggested in the thread referenced by dalchina was to launch into Safe Mode with Networking and see if it happens then. But, as noticed by my OP at top, I can't get networking mode to work, hence, this thread on that topic.
@dalchina...are you saying that whatever is wrong based on the other thread, that same thing is the cause of the networking problem in safe mode?

    Hi, that's the background.

The odd thing is it seems you can open your Action Centre. That shouldn't be possible in Safe Mode.
If I click on the lower right corner icon, it shows Airplane Mode square. Doesn't say if it is on or off. Doesn't indicate anything if I click the Airplane button.
If you are in Safe mode it should say so in the corners of the screen. This sounds right though:
option 5 from boot menu, Safe Mode with Networking.
    tried to add a network.
Networking (sharing) isn't supported in Safe mode. You can't start the relevant services.

It does say Safe Mode in each corner.

I have no idea want no networking. Would it only work on wired Ethernet?

On a working system you can connect to the internet in Safe mode with networking by ethernet or Wi-fi.

That's what I thought. So I do have a problem as my laptop apparently does not see the hardware to do that. If I try the troubleshooting tool it says I need to boot normally to run that. But booting normally... Network works fine.

You'll be using a basic MS driver in Safe Mode. If all is ok in Normal mode, presumably there's some incompatibility between MS's driver and your hardware.

You may be able to see the driver version and author in Device Manager in both cases and compare.

If I click on the lower right corner icon, it shows Airplane Mode square. Doesn't say if it is on or off. Doesn't indicate anything if I click the Airplane button.
Where exactly do you see this?

'lower right corner icon' - launches the Action Centre in normal mode.

Try looking at the relevant driver details when in Safe Mode with Networking as I suggested.
