It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'll test it the first chance I get and will post the results. The one I ordered has a antennae. I went with that one to make sure I can access my router which is a distance from my desktop. At one time my desktop and router were only a few feet apart. I have moved my desktop from a upstairs spare bedroom to a room downstairs and even though it would be possible I don't feel like going through the trouble of running a network wire.

@56Kruiser The USB adapter was delivered a day early. I'm sad to say there is No Joy In Mudville tonight. I got the same Code 37 error with the USB adapter. Now I'm debating if I should keep it as a backup or send it back.

Did you install the T2U driver from TP-Link?

Yes, I did install the driver. I used the one I downloaded from their site and not the one that came with the included CD. After I downloaded the driver I disabled the internal WiFi card so that when I installed the TP-Link I wouldn't have any conflicts. After the adapter was installed I booted into Safe Mode using my Admin account. On the login screen I still only had thee Airplane Mode option. Once in Safe Mode I tried to enable the adapter only to find the same Code 37 error. Later today I'm going to try to find a older driver and try it again.

I think MS is against me. I downloaded a older driver from the TP-Link website so I could try it. When I restarted my computer from my Admin account so I could log into Safe Mode the option was gone along with the option to Roll Back. My guess is that when Windows deleted the Windows.old folder it also deleted my Safe Mode and Roll Back boot options. Windows did leave my Macrium Boot option. It had to happen some time last night or this morning. My Windows.old folder was there yesterday. I'll try again later when my coffee kicks in.

I tried again and nothing worked. I'm now thinking that it is something that the OEMs and/or MS did on newer devices and updated BIOSes to prevent WiFi in Safe Mode. When I first tried to solve this problem I did read from several users that MS did away with this option.
