Those are approximate numbers on the graph/chart.
The lowest minus is the strongest signal on the Y axis.
That corresponds to the -20 which is a very strong signal.

At the range extender the 2.4 GHz is -6

At the range extender the 5 GHz is -10

    Not seeing any percentages displayed.

    Channel graph
    Time graph
    Channel rating
    AP list
    Signal meter

    What analyzer are you using?

I'm running Lizard System's Wi-Fi Scanner, right-clicking on the connection and selecting Properties.

On the system I'm testing -

    2.4 Ghz at -42 with 100% quality

    5 Ghz at -30 with 100% quality

Two other devices connected at 5 Ghz currently.

    No issues.

    Is that a phone app?

If so, you should be running an analyzer on the system with the issues.

It's a phone app that the technician installing internet had used.

For Lizard System's Wi-Fi Scanner it appears to not have a free download and installation.
Either a trial or a registration?

What is the advantage of a download to the computer?
Tests the signal through the computer's wireless?
Then can you install on multiple computers without a license?

How does this find any information about the cause of the default gateway is not available- fixed using the windows network diagnostics troubleshooter?

I've used Lizard System's free Wi-Fi Scanner for years, and just click Check for Updates in the app occasionally before I use it...which I did last night during the discussion.

    From their website -

Click here to download your fully-functional trial of Wi-Fi Scanner . The Wi-Fi Scanner is free for personal use.

I have a personal use license, which you can get here -

Purchase license for Wi-Fi Scanner - LizardSystems

There are plenty of other analyzers available.

You're testing the device, not the wireless network.

I mentioned the Event Logs, and the router logs, as resources.

I suspected you would have run the Network Troubleshooter already.

So, is that the problem system?

I would change the 2.4 Ghz channel to 1, 6, or 11 as mentioned above.

These are the channels that are not overlapped by other channels.

The extender and the router should be using the same channels.
