    I understand that it's a bug in 2004.

    Opinions?

Not having a problem with 2 machines on 2004 [1 Notebook and 1 Desktop] and with 1909 Wired and Wireless/Wi-Fi computers, have 2 x 2TB WD MyCloud NAS drives connected by Ethernet to the Router. I have the Public folder on each drive mapped. I don't try to map drives on computers, no need as I save files I want to share on the NAS drives plus they are on 24/7, no need to keep a particular computer running. Also works with my Insider Preview computers Desktops. Should also mention I use both Home and Pro editions.

I'm with you - I to see no problem mapping a network drive both wired or wireless under 2004 on 3 different systems. 1-Home, 2-PRO.
