Any ideas on how I can maintain the location of OPEN windows on a remo

I am using RDP to connect to my Windows 10 Enterprise workstation, from which I rarely log out, leaving all open applications as is from session to session. Do you know of any way I can maintain the relative position of OPEN windows on the desktop? Every time I disconnect from RDP, I have to rearrange everything. :-( TIA.

Install DesktopOK, it's free. It can remember the position of icons on the Desktop. Right click on the DesktopOK icon in the System tray and select restore and the icons are put back where they were. Great little program, almost 0 impact on system resources.

Also, on a system reboot, it will restore icons to where they are supposed to be.

WOW! That was fast! THANK YOU!

But upon visiting the link, it seems it restores only the icons. I already have been using Desktop Restore for that, anyway. I need to restore open windows.

    Ah, sorry, misread your question.

Looks like WindowManager will do what you want. Costs is $10 but may be worth it if it works for you.

    Program Information
This download is a fully functional demo version of the program with all the features of the full version. The demo will expire at the end of the evaluation period, after which you must purchase a license or discontinue the use of the program. If you purchase a license, a license file will be sent to you, which turns the demo into the full version, which has no time limit. We recommend purchasing the license at least a few days before the demo expires, so that you can enjoy our product without any interruptions.

in the past few hours, I have come across the only software I know of that even remotely approaches what I want to accomplish, Windows Layout Manager:

Stefan Didak – Windows Layout Manager (WiLMa) By Stefan Didak

It is still does not auto-start. I am trying to figure that out.

Put a link to the executable in Startup folder?

    C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Then it should start at boot.
