To clarify .... the issue is the Windows 10 OS. It is with Windows File Explorer. The Mapped drives used to appear in File Explorer's left panel list of drives and folders. Two days ago File explorer stopped show the mapped drives. so not they don;t appear in the list of Drives and folders.

I would suggest trying it, just to see what happens. You can always undo it.
I did, it has no effect. I also check the NAS devices they support SMB 2.0. Also I have several other computers on my home network they work fine with the mapped drives and They do not have SMB 1 turned on. So it is something that happened to the computer in question.

Yup, it sure is. I use it any way because without it stuff just doesn't work. I'm behind a Modem then a router then Defender then Malware Bytes.
There is no man-in-the middle since it's used only between system on my internal network.

I'll continue to use it until Microsoft fixes their damned networking so I can share what ever I want between computer I own on my network. Today, without SMB1 that doesn't work. Sucks but it's the truth.
As long as you're using client only, its less of a threat.

We don't use devices that require SMB1.

Said goodbye a long time ago.

I have two Windows 10 systems and one Windows 7 system (my Apache Web Server). Windows 7 still requires SMB1 apparently.

I'll do some testing and turn it off on all 3 system then see what does or doesn't work.
