Hi. I bought another CAT6 cable and it's still giving me 100Mbps. I'm thiiiiis close to pulling my hair out at this point, lol.

Small positive update. I've come to the conclusion that, if I plug a gigabit-supported cable in, then try my main one, I get full gigabit. The only question that remains is how to fix this so that I always get full gigabit. I'm out of ideas at the moment.

Yes, I am connected to WiFi through my phone to test results over WiFi. On a sidenote, I've completely out of the blue got persistent gigabit, so I'm crossing my fingers that it stays that way.

Do you intend to use WiFi at some point or are you just playing around to see what you can do? If you are just playing to see what you can accomplish using the phone, which I completely understand as I do things like that all the time, then I'll go away, otherwise it would make more sense to buy a USB WiFi dongle to use instead of the phone. They are cheap, anywhere from $8 to $20, I.E. USB WiFi dongle

I'm not planning to use a WiFi dongle in the future. The test I did through my phone was to see if I actually was getting full speed on anything other than Ethernet.
