Can you, using a RJ45 male to 3 way female splitter (at the Modem), combine hard wiring (Ethernet Cat-5) to a Wi-Fi router, and to two PC's? IOW, can I use both Wi-Fi and Ethernet cabling on a PC at the same time? I'm trying to maximize my download speeds for gaming.

I wouldn't think a splitter is the way to go. The Ethernet cable with the RJ45 plugs has 8 wires/4-pairs but only 2 pairs are actually needed but if the splitter is similar as used with TV cables there will be a general degradation of the signal. Cable companies can make adjustments where more than 1 TV is involved but don't think ISPs can do the same until the customer wants a higher speed feed which costs more money.

And I've not seen better than Ethernet networking versus Wireless/Wi-Fi or in using both at the same time, simply a hardware limitation.
