Unable to Share DVD Drives

    Thankfully no great matter- merely a curiosity!
    That's strange that it won't work for you. When you load a DVD into your shared drive and access it from your other computer, it still gives you an error that the device is not ready?

    Thanks, no, still the permission error. I can map the DVD drive as a network drive, but that's it.
    Permissions are set to share with Everyone as per the guide: drive shows appropriate icon.

    But I've not tried the registry fix.
