    Just an observation but the 2.4 and 5 are more for the internal network or LAN. What the Modem sees coming is for the WAN, speed is provided by the ISP. Generally the Download speed is higher than the Upload speed. Mine is 12Mbps down and 3.46Mbps up.

    I disabled 2.4GHz, but my Internet connection is still going at the same speed.....

    However much you configure your router you cannot make it run any faster than the speed your ISP is providing for you.

    I get up to 50Mbps over 2.4GHz WiFi, but that is the speed my ISP package says it will deliver.

    ISP = Charter Communications (Spectrum)

    You need to check your account with Charter Communications. See if it says what speed you are paying for or should expect, and if not contact them and ask what speed you should be getting.
