Wifi active for over 15 hours

My wifi has been receiving about 300Kbs for over 14 hours. Today when powered up the same is happening now.

This seems to be preventing Firefox from visiting sites like: bleeping computer. Edge can visit some commercial sites such as Amazon. Sometimes I can open a link within Amazon, sometimes not. Sometimes Edge cannot open within a website, such as Tenforums.com

How do I determine what the wifi is downloading, when it will end, and whether this is the Win10 May2020 update?

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

Open Task Manager and click on its Processes tab (if you don't see any tabs, click 'more details'). Now click on the title at the top of the Network column to sort by network use. This will show you what is using your network resources. That may indeed be windows update.

The screenshot above shows Windows Update checking for updates, but that should only need to run for a few minutes before it completes.

Have you been offered the May 2020 update in Windows Update? Did you click on 'download and install now'? It will not download and install until you ask it to. If you have done, then you should see its progress reported in Settings on the Windows Update page.
