    Buid 2004, small bug?

Did a clean install to build 2004 (19041.264) and everything seemed good. Only issue I see is when I right mouse click on the Network icon by the clock and I select "Open Network & Internet Settings" the popup screen just flashes and closes.

    Anyone else see this?

I tried accessing it through the Settings > Network & Internet and same thing.

Ran sfc /scannow and no violation; all good. Any fix for this, something I can do or wait?

I have the same problem, but because I have changed some settings, have you done anything, bad?

You can try the old control panel, it works fine regardless of Settings. Start - Run - control

If that does not work, make sure you have all network services running. I have noticed, that for some reason, even on clean installs, "Radio Management Service" is disabled, making it impossible to pick WiFi network.

Run CMD as admin and copy/paste, then restart.
    Code:
    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BFE" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f
    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f
    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MpsSvc" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f
    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinHttpAutoProxySvc" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "3" /f

    sc config Dhcp start= auto
    sc config DPS start= auto
    sc config lmhosts start= auto
    sc config NlaSvc start= auto
    sc config nsi start= auto
    sc config RmSvc start= auto
    sc config Wcmsvc start= auto
    sc config WdiServiceHost start= demand
    sc config Winmgmt start= auto

    sc config NcbService start= demand
    sc config Netman start= demand
    sc config netprofm start= demand
    sc config WlanSvc start= auto
    sc config WwanSvc start= demand

I'm not seeing it on either of my platforms that were clean installed with 2004.

I did notice that at first it had to 'think' with the spinning dots about the metrics of my current connection. Perhaps toggle from Ethernet to WiFi or vis versa in the 'Control Panel > Network And Sharing Center' and see if it still happens.

@TairikuOkami - yes, true. I can access it through the control panel, but not any other way. I am hooked in via LAN, no WiFi.

I did a clean install so not sure what is going on. Should I do the Reset Network Adapters?

@Farvatten - I cannot get to that screen, but as mentioned only through the control panel. Maybe I'll have to do a re-clean install again. Lol

    Thanks everyone.

So found it, it was the new wpd. Under advanced > services. There are 6 under this that are default and one of those when turned off causes it. I have not dialed in to exactly which one, but when I turned the 6 on the issue occurs. If I turned them off then the popup works every time.

    FYI everyone. 1.3.1532

@Farvatten: you probably also want to change your network state from Public to Private (unless you're in a coffee shop or using somebody else's network). I just checked my own 2004 upgraded PCs and yes -- sure enough! -- status did change from Private to Public. This can also play hob with network connectivity and access.
